Hubert Klimko-Dobrzaniecki in Czech and Italian with the support of the Book Institute
In 2019, two translations of Hubert Klimko-Dobrzaniecki's books were published. In the Czech Republic came out a collection of short stories Wariat (“Madman”), translated by Jiří Červenka, whereas Marzena Borejczuk introduced Italian readers to the novel Bornholm, Bornholm. The translation of both titles was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
The Book Institute supported the Italian translation of “Niesamowite przygody dziesięciu skarpetek” by Justyna Bednarek
In Italy, the translation of Niesamowite przygody dziesięciu skarpetek (“The Incredible Adventures of Ten Socks”) by Raffaella Belletti has been published. The publication of Justyna Bednarek's book illustrated by Daniel de Latour was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
First full Italian translation of Korczak's “Król Maciuś Pierwszy” with the support of the Book Institute
The first full translation of Janusz Korczak's book Król Maciuś Pierwszy (“King Matt the First”) has been published in Italy. Italian Polish philologists and an Italian philologist together with students of the universities of Bologna, Florence, and the Pedagogical University of Cracow worked on the translation. The edition was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
