In Japan, the Misuzu Shobo publishing house has just released the book Rotmistrz Pilecki. Ochotnik do Auschwitz (The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery) by Adam Cyra.

The Book Institute supported the Spanish translation of „Co tam słychać, czyli dziwne dźwięki z głębi ciała” by Marta Maruszczak and Artur Gulewicz

In Spain, the translation of Marta Maruszczak’s Co tam słychać, czyli dziwne dźwięki z głębi ciała (“The Sounds Inside. Strange Noises from Within the Body”), illustrated by Artur Gulewicz, has been published. The book was translated by Karolina Jaszecka. The publication was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

Ewa Małachowska-Pasek and Megan Thomas receive Found in Translation Award for 2021

The Polish Book Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute London, and the Polish Cultural Institute New York are pleased to announce that the 2021 Found in Translation Award goes to Ewa Małachowska-Pasek and Megan Thomas for The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz published by Northwestern University Press (2020).

Small Book – Great Man

The social campaign "Small Book – Great Man" reminds us of the benefits of reading together in a family from the first months of a child's life. It was devised in connection with a nationwide campaign, as part of which young parents will receive unique Reading Layettes in maternity wards.

CZYTAJ PL

The largest readership promotion campaign in Poland, and probably in the world. In this year's edition, in 500 cities and towns, there could be found free e-book rentals, available for everyone. They were available at bus stops, libraries, and cultural institutions. The Book Institute is a strategic partner of the campaign.
