We promote Polish literature across the world. In recent years, almost 1,800 translations of Polish books have been published as part of the ©Poland Translation Program!




Hendrik Lindepuu receives the prestigious Kultuurivedur award of the "Postimees" daily for the creator of the year

Every year, Estonia's largest daily Postimees awards a highly prestigious Kultuurivedur (Locomotive of Culture) award to the most influential person or cultural institution. This year, the laurel goes to Hendrik Lindepuu as ambassador for Polish literature.


Bologna Book Plus to choose the most beautiful adult book cover

Bologna Book Plus is a new trade fair held alongside the Bologna Children's Book Fair - the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna, Italy. They were designed as a complement to the latter, dedicated to books for an adult audience. The event was inaugurated online in 2021, and this year, it will be held in an in-person format for the first time (between 21 and 24 March).


Stanisław Lem’s “Pamiętnik znaleziony w wannie” in Croatian with the support of the Book Institute

A translation of Stanisław Lem’s Pamiętnik znaleziony w wannie (“Memoirs Found in a Bathtub’”) has recently been published in Croatia. The book was translated by Adrian Cvitanović, and the publication was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.


Mikołaj Grynberg's “Rejwach” in English with the support of the Book Institute

A translation of Mikołaj Grynberg's book Rejwach will be published in the United States on 8th February. The publication of Sean Gasper Bye's translation was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

Small Book – Great Man

The social campaign "Small Book – Great Man" reminds us of the benefits of reading together in a family from the first months of a child's life. It was devised in connection with a nationwide campaign, as part of which young parents will receive unique Reading Layettes in maternity wards.

The largest readership promotion campaign in Poland, and probably in the world. In this year's edition, in 500 cities and towns, there could be found free e-book rentals, available for everyone. They were available at bus stops, libraries, and cultural institutions. The Book Institute is a strategic partner of the campaign.
