The Polish Book Institute

A translation of one of Józef Mackiewicz's most important novels, Nie trzeba głośno mówić (“No Need to Speak Out Loud”), has recently been published in Romania. The publication of the book translated by Constantin Geambaşu was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

On Thursday 17^th November, the Polish Institute in Budapest hosted a meeting on the life and works of Józef Mackiewicz, entitled 'Only the truth is interesting'. It was organised with the support of the Polish Embassy in Hungary and the Polish Book Institute.

A meeting to mark the 120^th anniversary of the birth of Józef Mackiewicz will be held today at 6 p.m. at the Polish Institute in Budapest. The event is organised in cooperation with the Book Institute and will be attended by Włodzimierz Bolecki, Áron Máthé, and Lajos Pálfalvi.
