“Akademia Pana Kleksa” in Macedonian with the support of the Book Institute

A translation of Akademia Pana Kleksa (“Mister Blot’s Academy”) by Jan Brzechwa, translated by Ilija Trajkovski, was published in North Macedonia. The publication of the book was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

A translation of one of Poland's most famous novels for young readers has recently been released by the Skopje-based Slovenika Dooel publishing house.

Mister Blot’s Academy was first published in 1946. This is the story of a twelve-year-old, unruly Adas Niezgódka, who is placed in the titular academy together with twenty-three other boys - all with names beginning with the letter A. They are cared for by Mr Blot with the help of Matt, a scholarly starling who pronounces only the endings of words and who used to be a prince. Unfortunately, one day, the harmonious life of the students at the academy is put in jeopardy...
