The Polish Book Institute

This Friday, August 29th, the International Literature Festival Graal-Müritz will begin. Three Polish authors will participate in the event: Urszula Honek, Michał Figura, and Tadeusz Dąbrowski. The Book Institute is an official partner of the festival.

Urszula Honek will participate in a meeting devoted to her acclaimed collection of short stories, White Nights, which was published by Suhrkamp Verlag in Germany in February 2025, and translated by Renate Schmidgall. The festival will also feature a poetry reading with Urszula Honek and Tadeusz Dąbrowski.

Michał Figura will introduce readers to his book, “Wolves. True Stories,” which was published by Moritz Verlag in Germany in 2023, translated by Thomas Weiler and Marlene Breuer.

All meetings with Polish authors will be led by the renowned translator Olaf Kühl. More information can be found on the event website:

The Book Institute supported Urszula Honek's trip, as well as Michał Figura’s participation in the event, who will meet with readers online.

The festival concludes on Tuesday, September 2nd.
