Several significant translations have recently been published abroad, supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Programme. Of particular note is the translation of Zyta Rudzka's novel, “Ten się śmieje, kto ma zęby” (He Who Smiles, Who Has Teeth), which won the Nike Literary Award. Bárbara Gill, the renowned translator of Stanisław Lem, has brought it to Spanish-speaking readers.
The translation was published by the Argentine publishing house Monogramático.
In addition, translations of the following works have also recently been published:
- Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz's “Pożegnanie z jesienią” into Croatian (translated by Dalibor Blažina, published by Bodoni),
- Aleksandra Wojtaszek's “Fjaka. Sezon na Chorwację” into Croatian (translated by Adrian Cvitanović, published by Disput),
- “Kiczery. Podróż przez Bieszczady” by Adam Robiński into Slovak (translated by Ján Púcek, published by Absynt),
- “Kamień na kamieniu” by Wiesław Myśliwski into Hungarian (translated by Péter Józsa, published by Magyar Napló),
- “Dom z witrażem” by Żanna Słoniowska into Bengali (translated by Sulagna Mukhopadhyay, published by Rritobak)
