The Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation, the Book Institute, and the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin are still accepting applications for the Albrecht Lempp Scholarship for the year 2023.
The aim of the scholarship is to cultivate the art of translation and writing in the spirit of literary and translation standards close to Albrecht Lempp as well as to commemorate his contribution to the German-Polish literary exchange.

The scholarship programme consists of two one-month stays in the neighbouring country every year:
1) One month in the guest house of the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin for a Polish writer or translator. The sponsors cover travel and accommodation costs and provide a scholarship of €1,200.
2) One month in Krakow, in the rooms of the Translators’ Collegium of the Book Institute, for a German writer or translator. The sponsors cover travel and accommodation costs and provide a scholarship of €1,200.
