Opowiadania bizarne (“Tales of the Bizarre”) by Olga Tokarczuk, translated by Maryla Laurent, was included in the list of one hundred best books of the year by ‘Lire’ magazine.

The ‘Lire’ magazine list is the most important list of suggestions for readers in France. This year, it was developed by the editors of the magazine in cooperation with the portal "Sens critique" and the RTL TV channel. A bookseller also takes part in its creation.

Two years ago, the ‘Lire Magazine Littéraire’ distinguished Księgi Jakubowe (“The Books of Jacob”, also translated by Marilla Laurent) in the same way.
