“O Kamilu, który patrzy rękami” in Arabic with the support of the Book Institute
A translation of Tomasz Małkowski's book O Kamilu, który patrzy rękami (”The Boy who Sees with his Fingers”) has been published in Qatar. The publication of the book translated by Yousef Sh'hadeh into Arabic was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Programme.
The book was published by the Alborj Media publishing house in Abu Dhabi.
The Boy who Sees with his Fingers is the story of a five-year-old who has been blind since birth. Kamil is doing quite well for himself and, like any boy, has crazy ideas and unusual adventures. Together with his older sister Zuzia, they have a lot of fun and play pranks on each other, and also stand behind each other when necessary. The book brings familiarity to an unfamiliar world where one sees with one's fingers.
