"Rok w lesie" by Emilia Dziubak in Croatian with support from the Book Institute
A translation of the book Rok w lesie (“A Year in the Forest”) by Emilia Dziubak has been published in Croatia. The publication of the book translated by Marija Jelaska was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
Translated into Croatian, the title of the book reads Godina u šumi. The book was published by the Planet Zoe publishing house. One can look at A Year in the Forest for hours.
A Year in the Forest contains twelve double pages with the consecutive months of one year. Each month is the same meticulously drawn frame of the forest with the inhabitants shown in different situations, weather conditions, at a different time of day or night. Two additional double pages include a presentation of the characters and interactive play. 'A Year in the Forest' can be watched for hours. This extraordinary book stimulates the imagination, develops perceptiveness, the ability to think logically, look for cause and effect relationships, storytelling skills and, above all, guarantees great fun.
Emilia Dziubak is a well-known illustrator and author of children's books on the Polish market, who has already written more than forty books.
