The Jan Michalski Foundation invites authors and translators to residency stays in Montricher, Switzerland. It will be supported by a monthly stipend of 1,200 Swiss francs and reimbursement of travel expenses.
The length of stay will vary from two weeks, one month, two months, three months, or six months - depending on the form of the proposed project. There will be specially prepared cottages available for the foundation's guests. The deadline for applications is 14 September 2022.
It is also possible to apply for a residency for creative duos, such as a writer and translator, two writers, or a writer and illustrator.
In applying for a residency, it is most important to present a qualitative project that one intends to realise during their stay in Switzerland. The project should not only be worthwhile, but also well matched to the length of stay requested by the applicant. The candidate's previous achievements will also be taken into account, with the possibility of budding artists also obtaining a residency.
