"Mapa" by Barbara Sadurska in the final of the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize

Barbara Sadurska's Mapa (“The Map”), translated by Kate Webster, was shortlisted for the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize. The novel was published by Terra Librorum.

The Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize is an annual literary award honouring the translation of a book into English from any other European language. It aims to “honour the craft of translation, and to recognise its cultural importance.

The prize was first awarded in 1999. It was founded in honour of Lord Weidenfeld.

The winner will be announced on 14th June on Oxford Translation Day.
