Julian Tuwim’s poems for children in Latvian with support from the Book Institute

The collection O Panu Tralallińskim i inne wiersze (“Mr Tralalinski and Oher Poems”) by Julian Tuwim was published in Latvia. The translation by Māris Salējs was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Programme.

The book Pans Trallalnieks, as reads the title of the Latvian translation of the book, has been published by the Riga-based publishing house Liels un Mazs. It was illustrated by Ernests Kļaviņš.

Māris Salējs, the translator of the volume, has previously translated Czesław Miłosz's Rodzinna Europa (“Native Realm”, 2011) with the support of the ©Poland Translation Programme.
