Bianca Bellová received the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Literary Prize for her novel The Lake, translated by Alex Zucker.
In Poland, the book was published by the Afera publishing house, and it was translated by Anna Radwan-Zbikowska.
The ten nominees included the English translations of Olga Tokaczuk's Księgi Jakubowe (“The Books of Jacob”) and Maciej Hen's Według niej (“According to Her”).
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development prize is awarded to author/translator duos and amounts to €20,000.
