Nike's Award-winning collection of poetic prose, To Feed a Stone is a perpetual exploration of the essence of things. The world presented by Nowicka has not yet grown into secondary meanings, so it particularly affects imagination, creating its own cause and effect sequences and its own logic. The author penetrates the relationships between people and things, questions and undermines the existing hierarchies, balances on the border between the body and the outside world. For the poet, the relationship between man and thing is also a basis to make presence of the dead, remembered and "detained" in objects. It is a strong, fresh debut in Polish literature.
