A translation of Anna Paszkiewicz’s children's book Coś i Nic (“Something and Nothing”), illustrated by Kasia Walentynowicz, has been published in Spain. The publication of the book translated by Karolina Jaszecka was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

Algo i Nada, as reads the Spanish translation of the book, was published by the Thule Ediciones publishing house in Spain.

In this instance, Something and Nothing are not simply abstract concepts - they are the protagonists of the book by Anna Paszkiewicz and Kasia Walentynowicz, and they are, of course, each other's exact opposites. Something is always the centre of attention, while Nothing, on the contrary, is quiet, shy, and secretive. The main aim of this story, intended for pre-school children, is to foster the sense of the development of self-esteem and the ability to see the world from another's perspective.

Anna Paszkiewicz is the author of more than twenty children's books and a contributor to the magazine for blind and partially sighted children 'Promyczek'. Kasia Walentynowicz, on the other hand, is an illustrator and graphic designer who works not only with books, but they occupy an important place in her work. Together, they have created another title that deals with a similar theme to Something and Nothing – a book entitled Prawy i Lewy (“Right and Left”).
