Aleksandra Mizielinska, Daniel Mizielinski, and Natalia Baranowska's book Daj gryza. Smakowite historie o jedzeniu (”Take a Bite: Eat Your Way Around the World”) has been published in Taiwan. The publication of the translation by Yan Ke-Tong was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Programme.
Take a Bite is a grand expedition tracing dishes, spices, and ingredients from five continents in a striking album full of interesting facts and tasty recipes. Each chapter is dedicated to one country. In this book, the reader visits 26 countries from all continents and, in Aleksandra and Daniel Mizielinski's striking illustrations, sees a Moroccan feast, a floating Vietnamese market, or Argentinian gauchos, learning about the most varied delicacies and their colourful stories.
The Mizielinskis and Baranowska show not only how strongly food is linked to the history, culture, and nature of the country in which it originated, but also how to prepare simple and delicious dishes from all parts of the world.
The translation was published by the Global Kids publishing house.
