Submissions of entries are encouraged for the Ananas Illustrator Competition, organised as part of the Beijing International Book Fair from 25-29 August.

Awards are granted in several categories. In 2020, Anya and Varya Kendel from Russia won the Grand Prix Ananas; Miao Yu from China won the Illustration of China competition; three outstanding artists won the Grand Jury Prize: Katarzyna Walentynowicz from Poland, Marco Marinangeli from Italy, and Issa Watanabe from Peru. Ekaterina Metelitsyna from Russia, Zheng Hen and Becky Yu from China were awarded the New Talent Prize.

Submitted illustrations may be published (after 1 January 2019) or unpublished works.
